A new book, THEY'RE POSIONING US! It is way past time to change the National Perception on the Posioning that is occurring in our nation. When one fourth to one half of the gulf war veterans that served in 1990-91 are ill and dying quietly ignored by their own government,when there are also those that were not deployed in theater that are also ill and getting no help and, when our current troops are being exposed to dirty sand with heavy metal exposures and none of them getting true help from their own government, then our government is broken.

When researchers like Dr Robert Haley (UTSW Medical) and now the researchers identified in last weeks USA Today article on heavy metal contamination in the Iraq soil are being blocked then the truth that could help our own veterans in their struggles to live and answers to their own health are being denied at the highest levels of government and people need to be held accountable! When the veterans have to go repeatedly to the capitol in DC to ask for help and funding for the right research for effective treatment and beg their own government then our country has big moral and ethical issues that are being denied and not covered by main stream media.

When the request is for 25 million for research and we will be lucky to get 8 million dollars for research from the Congressional Directed Medical Research Program at the Department of Defense for Gulf War Illness Research for the largest number ever of post war illness then this government is not honoring or caring for its veterans. When the VA funds on Gulf War illness research over 20 years has been misdirected and misspent and when the one researcher that was getting answers ie Dr Robert Haley has his research that the gulf war veterans supported cut off at a critical time, then we have true evidence of malfeasance. When gulf war veterans are having to battle their claims for compensation for years to get compensated in order to just try to have a place to live and exist at a low level of standards then we have a true atrocity of mismanagement. This is an atrocity of national importance that is being ignored and hopefully Arnold Mann's book will push some buttons for real action.
